If you've come to burn a flag, you've come to the right place. Flag-burning without repercussion is our specialty. So, if you come from a country where freedom of speech isn't policy, or flag-burning isn't considered freedom of speech, burn away. If you come from a country where flag burning is a protected freedom, burn your flags here to avoid those nasty arson and public disturbance laws!

After all, at the end of the day, it's just a bunch of pixels, right?

Welcome to BurntFlag.com

So there I was, watching some juvenile clips of people burning flags because they didn’t agree with someone else. It’s like watching a five-year-old threatening to break his sister’s doll because she ate his cupcake. Except from what I can tell, most of the people burning flags are burning their own flags that they either bought or stitched together expressly for the purpose of burning. If I had to choose what flaming item a nearby protestor was carrying, I’d pick a burning flag far before a Molotov cocktail, but that’s just me.

Anyway, while I was watching those videos, I felt I should do something. The first thing that came to mind was to start a flag-exporting business with my prime customer target being the Middle East. Based on my pyromaniac background, I invented a self-igniting flag that could have been manufactured at a fairly cheap price. Alas, realizing I don’t have the capital or backing to carry on with such ideas, I had to look elsewhere.

So, after stumbling across some (almost) horrific images depicting the dangers of playing with fire, I looked inward and built this site (well, those images and all of the religious and political stupidity surrounding flag burnings). I suppose for some people, the ability to burn a flag is their greatest form of speech (whoopity-doo). What they don’t seem to realize that thousands of flags each year are burned not for desecration purposes, but out of respect.

At any rate, because of my humanitarian love for the species, I would prefer never to be subjected to the likes of the above pictures again. Therefore, what I present to you is this method of burning flags with no chance of starting yourself on fire! Stay safe people.

In good company

Apparently, I’m not the only one with hacker issues. If anyone has any protection suggestions, please let me know. I’ve taken a few precautions, but I’m willing to bet that it’s only a matter of time…

To all of those who’ve burned and those who’ve yet to burn…

Welcome back

!A little history: I began work on the site and Java applet back on March 13th, and hacked out a basic working site by March 19th. Uploaded and edited over the course of 5 days, I left my creation alone (in a working state) for the weekend.

By Saturday it was all gone, brutally hacked and deleted; I had been pwned by a band of Turkish wanna-be cyberthugs.

Boo hoo. I had backups. It was probably a hole in some of my piss poor newbie php scripting, anyway. They did try to help me out though…they told me that the Turkish flag can’t be burned. I tried anyway with one that I had laying around the apartment and found that they were right! Next time though, I think I’ll try one that hasn’t been soaked in uri…umm, err, nevermind. Thanks anyway guys.

But anyway, In celebration of the reupload, I invite you all to burn some Turkish pixels. :D

Please note: I in no way endorse burning real flags (because of the fragile nature of our environment, I can only endorse "burning" pixels!), arson (I only endorse "burning" pixels you own), or any other anti-<insert-your-favorite-country> activities (I only endorse pro-<insert-your-favorite-country> activities) that may or may not be depicted on this website (since the website doesn't favor "burning" one bunch of pixels over another, it might be considered anti-world, but I'm not from another galaxy so nevermind that).
